Common issues we fix
Nine problems make up the bulk of the calls we take. Every one of them starts with a free phone diagnosis.
The most common call we get. We re-establish the connection between your printer, router, and computer.
Phantom jams, misfeeds, and rollers that grab two sheets at once. We walk you through clearing it safely.
Windows 11 and macOS updates regularly break printer drivers. We find and install the correct one.
Stuck queues, jobs that vanish, and "spooler service not running" faults on Windows machines.
Print-quality problems from clogged nozzles, worn drums, low toner, or the wrong paper settings.
Scan-to-computer, scan-to-email, and "scanner not found" errors on multifunction printers.
Unboxed a new machine? We get it onto your network and printing from every device in the house.
Small-office setups: static IPs, shared queues, and permissions so every workstation can print.
Print straight from an iPhone, iPad, or Android phone without installing anything strange.
Brands we service
Inkjet, laser, and all-in-one models from the major manufacturers, listed here by name only.
These manufacturer names are listed for identification purposes only. FixPrinter is an independent third-party technical support provider and is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by any of them. All trademarks are the property of their respective owners.
How it works
Dial 1 (800) 994-7656 any day between 7am and 11pm ET. A technician picks up — no phone tree maze, no callback form.
Tell us what the printer is doing. We'll ask a few questions and tell you honestly whether it's something we can fix. That part never costs anything.
Most fixes happen with you following simple instructions. If a screen-share would be faster, we ask first and you click to approve it on your own screen. You can end it at any moment.
We print a test page together. Only once it works do we take payment. If we can't fix it, you owe nothing.
Pricing
You'll hear the price on the call before any work starts. There are no diagnostic fees, no "system optimization" add-ons, and no subscriptions you didn't ask for.
$0
Tell us what's wrong and we'll tell you what it is.
$59 flat, per issue
One printer, one problem, fixed on the call.
$129 / year
Unlimited calls for up to three printers at one address.
No fix, no fee. If we can't get your printer working, you don't pay — and we'll tell you where to go next, even if that means the manufacturer's warranty line or a local repair shop. Parts, ink, and toner are not included in any price above; we'll tell you what to buy and you buy it yourself.
What we don't do
Printer support has a bad reputation for good reasons. These are hard rules for every technician on our team.
Refund-reversal scams begin with a request for your receipt, order number, or bank login. We will never ask for any of them.
We take normal card payments after the work is done. Anyone asking you to pay a tech company in gift cards, crypto, or wire transfer is defrauding you.
A screen-share only starts when you read the prompt and click accept yourself. You watch everything we do, and you can disconnect at any point.
No cold calls, no pop-up warnings, no emails saying your printer is at risk. If someone calls claiming to be us, hang up and dial the number on this page.
We are not an authorized or official service center for any manufacturer, and we don't claim to be. If your printer is under manufacturer warranty, we'll say so and point you to the maker's own support line first — it may cost you nothing there.

FAQ
The phone diagnosis is free. A single fix is a flat $59 no matter how long the call runs, and the unlimited home & office plan is $129 per year for up to three printers at one address. You hear the price before any work starts, and parts, ink, and toner are never bundled into it.
Only if you ask for it or agree to it. Most fixes are done by you, following spoken instructions. If a screen-share is genuinely faster, we explain why, you approve it with a click on your own screen, you watch the whole session, and you can end it instantly. We never install remote-access software silently and never ask for a password to your bank, email, or cloud accounts.
We keep a service record: your name, phone number, the printer model, and what we did. That's it. We don't browse your files, we don't copy anything off your machine, and we don't sell or share contact details with marketers or lead brokers.
No. FixPrinter is fully independent and is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by any printer manufacturer. We are not an official or authorized service center. If your printer is still under manufacturer warranty, tell us the model and we'll point you at the maker's own support line before charging you anything.
We staff the line from 7am to 11pm ET, seven days a week, and aim to answer within a couple of minutes. Weekday evenings are our busiest window. If every technician is on a call, you'll be offered a callback slot rather than left in a queue.
You pay nothing. Some faults are mechanical — a dead fuser, a cracked gear, a print head past its life — and can't be resolved over the phone. When that happens we say so plainly, tell you whether the repair is worth the cost, and suggest where to go next.
All 50 states plus DC. Because support is delivered over the phone, your location only matters for time zones — our hours are listed in Eastern Time. We do not currently offer on-site visits or hardware repair, and we don't serve customers outside the United States.
No. There is no form, no chatbot, and no email capture on this site. The only way to reach us is to call 1 (800) 994-7656 during our support hours — which also means we can never contact you first.
Free diagnosis, a flat price quoted up front, and nothing to pay unless your printer works at the end of the call.
